Civil war graffiti

Brandon, this is a link for you as you're probably the only one interested because it's historical. Civil war era graffiti was uncovered on Andrew Jackson's house.

Joshie, no biggie man. I wasn't offended per se, it just seemed excessive, that's all. I know what you mean about trying to keep your mind off of something. I'm sorry to hear that whatever is sad is that way. I'm here for ya man if you need to talk about it or to joke around and not think about it. That's what friends are for.

lol. I just just pickin' on you big guy, no need to get so defensive. ;)

My mind is full of a sad thing right now. When I think about it, I start crying, a lot. The post I made was an attempt to get my mind of those issues. When I try to joke around, it helps me. I wasn't being serious, and I'm sorry if I offended you.

Riiiiiiight...

For anyone else who may have missed the point of my article in The Rocket entirely:
  • Wired Wisdom is comedy, not research, not a scholarly essay
  • My major argument about IE involved Christina Aguliera's jeans
  • My article was geared towards those who needed the issue laid out simply, not to debate the nuances of the problem.
  • The article "preaches" and calls people names in drill sargeant fashion because that's entertaining, keeping the technophobic interested in my article.
  • I spent the same amount of time talking about the issues Joshie has a problem with as I did talking about lollipops.
  • This article is great for the general population, you're welcome not to read it.
  • If you've got a problem with it, tell it to the editor.

@Brando's Firefox article

Users warned over Mozilla and Firefox 'holes'
Mozilla warns of security holes, updates Firefox

(not everyone runs the newest versions)

How can I trust Firefox?

I was joking with you at Rocky's about how Firefox isn't the greatest thing ever. And well, I did just a small amount of research and your article that you wrote on the issue seems, well, just untrue.

Your Rocket article makes it sound like IE is the only cause of spyware, and that swtiching to Firefox, you'll be free from trouble. Did you even bother to do any research on this issue, or do you have such a boner for Firefox that you overlooked it? Yes, Firefox may address a lot of issues that IE may overlook, but it's not the godsend that you put it out to be.

And one point to make, the newest version of IE does indeed have a popup blocker built into it.

So, you are you going to try to make the arguement that a lot of people don't have the most updated version of IE. Like I said above, not everyone will have the most updated version of Firefox either.

And even with the most updated version, you're still not free from ads on Firefox:

That's a pop-under ad that I got from Firefox just a minute ago.

So, why am I browsing porn sites you say? First of all, it wasn't a porn site ;) Secondly, this is just proving my point that Firefox does not completely solve this issue. If you truly want this issue solved, you must educate the populus, not preach to them on how much "better" Firefox is. Education can change the world. Protests just waste time.

Also, something I noticed in the article is that you were insulting to many folk. People on 56k are primative? And why are you even bother writing a walk-through if someone computer illiterate is told to stop reading (...then this article is waaaay too advanced for you and you are indeed fired.). I'm sure people know how to search google, click a link, then double click a program.

You need to understand now that if you use Firefox and don't open Internet Explorer then your PC will stay spyware free. So, you're saying, when I try to browse to, let's say, the Gator website, that firefox will block it? Hah, I guess it doesn't.

Educate, don't just lecture.
Research, don't just talk.
