eep :x sorry about all those red Xs... i seems my web server isn't working >< maybe that's why the video isn't working ^^;

[edit] i got it back up... i guess the server compy was down and the dmz was redirecting to a different compy. jon stamos, how i missed thee.

@brando -> huh? I'm using Apache for the http server... the problem with using ftp servers is that they were trying to use additional ports (not just 21), and none of them allowed me to configure those (blah at isps blocking ports)... I think it was something like that, but I kinda forget now ^^; maybe i'll attempt to set one up if kazaa doesn't pull through tonight ^^

@Harris - This is what you were trying to do, it doesn't appear to be working though... I dunno why :(

@Joshie - What server program are you using? If you're using the BRS one I used before, the FTP is extremely buggy. Also, I'm assuming you either A)Don't have a router or B)have already configured your dmz (to run a webserver or game or something). If you haven't done either of those you need to set the DMZ on your router to the IP of your compy. You probably already had that set up though. If you're having trouble then I'd suggest switching programs until you find one that works. Some of the ones out there are crappy.

@brando -> Naw, I needed ut2k3 for a lan i'm going to this weekend... and it's irritating me that it's unaccessible... one of my friends has it, but aim's a slutbag, and ftp would be the most effective means of transferring it... but see, I can't get an ftp server running on my compy :( Any of yous think of a possible solution? ^^;

@Brady - you got UT2k4? I keep hearing how sweet it is. Also, you got a day off soon? We should hang out.

@Joshie - The train is much better than the bus. The ride is longer but the accomodations are much better.

The south beach diet makes you feel full all the time. So full that you might just wanna puke whatever vegetables you just ate back up :( Also, no matter how full you are you'll wanna eat bread or sugar, or more likely both... Like brownies.. or cake.. or cookies. Mmmm, cookies. But I'm sticking to it. The food I can eat is pretty good :)

@Jon - How's your summer? If you can get a weekend off you could come to this lan, even though I know you probably can't :(

@Brandon - Haven't heard from you in awhile. Work still suck? How's things going otherwise?

@Adam - You haven't replied to my last post to you yet (6\20\04). Hope you're doing well. Check in soon.

Later all.

@brando -> *jumps up and down* oh! i get to ride a bus! *excited* ... you're more than welcome to use the proxy that I have on my house computer, as long as I can remember how to get it running again ^^; Also, I think I had it running off of port 5801, which I use for http, so either I'll have to take that server down, or try to find another open port :) If you wanna go ahead and try to set up one up at your house, I'd say go for it, but don't bust a nut trying... if all else fails, you could always vnc into your compy and set one up from school ;) ... and a Linux version? Well, I'm not sure... there's obviously Linux versions for proxy servers out there, but if you want one for the redirecting thingamabob, you'll have to check that out on your own... because, well, I forgot what it's called, and I'm too tired to dig through the archives and check out there homepage :p ... keep in mind though, that proxy solution doesn't solve all our problems... I would have doubts of HL or FF11 (*cry*) running because of how it works.

@harris -> uhh... that upload thing I made was quite ghetto... I think it got all pms-y when you tried to upload something big and whined the it was named something wrong :\ ... that might be why that's happening. I'll look at it tomorrow, and see if I can fix it, but I highly doubt that I'll be able to ^^; ... if you can't find a host for it though, just send it to me through AIM (ElephantSandwich) ... I think you're on my buddylist, so if I see you online, and holler at you to transfer it to be, yo.

@brady -> how about you sharing that 20+ gigs of webspace for ut2k3 when i asked, slutbag. i'm sure it's ftp-able, no? ^^; I went to two different Wal-Marts last night, an neither had it... so being that I'm having trouble pirating it, and that I can't get it legally, I want to pee on people. Angrily pee on people. A lot. Not you though... no worries... you'll be safe for my urinefest of doom.

Joshie, you should look at bus/train schedules and figure out when is good for you to come out for the lan. Either Brady or I will pick you up. Should I set up a proxy server at my Dad's or can I use yours next year? Does that proxy program have a linux version?

I think I'm going to start posting from work. I'm not sure if I'm allowed but other ppl use the internet here so I figure it's okay.

^^

I've invited my friend(from the house), Lucas, to come to the LAN. He's excited. How many attendees do we have so far?
