Science & Religion.....!= Friends for ever
^~~ I agree that the kid was entitled to any view of the world he wanted. Fine by me. I do understand other peoples views, Joshie. There are two points I disagree with: 1)He says that he thinks the bible is wrong in one way in order to make it seem right in another way, then claims that the bible is right and the science is wrong. In saying that the bible was wrong in one way he admits to the bible not always being right, so you can't draw the conclusion that the bible is right and science is wrong. (in other words fixation of species = in the bible, fixation of species = wrong, bible != right if you follow his reasoning) 2)The whole arguement is out of place. While this may be a very appropriate arguement to have in a theology class, we are taking anthropology. In anthropology, man is studied through science. If someone wants to study man from a theological standpoint they should take anthro-theology or whatever the class would be called. To conclude, I'm not rediculing someone religious views or saying one is right or wrong, I'm just saying it's annoying when someone keeps having a discussion that is out of place and off topic. Out of place and off topic are definitely in HNTBAJ101, and illogical arguments are probably in there too.
