Science & Religion.....!= Friends for ever

One would think that creationism would not be even and afterthought in an anthropology class at a higher education institution such as SRU. However, my anthropology teacher has been debunking creationism all year. I thought this odd until one guy in the class asked a few slightly scripture related questions. My teacher smiled and asked if he was a member of Campus Crusade for Christ. He got all embarassed and said yes. My teacher says he doesn't get along with the campus crusade too well. The kid wanted to justify the bible by saying that personally he didn't accept the doctrine of fixation of species, and without that everything else fell in line.

Personally, I don't give a crap how this kid felt personally. I reject doctrine..don't see me talking about it in class. Anyway, apparently there are still students, even on a college level, who can't differentiate their view of the world from a scientific view of the world. There should be a how-not-to-be-a-jackass 101 class.

Also interesting, the kid was super-liberal or something cause he thought jesus was black and lived in africa. I don't think that's in the bible. Wonder what the campus crusade thinks about that.

Also...Campus Crusade? I don't think it's best to make an organizations name a throw back to one of the biggest debachles in the church's history. Just a thought. See yas.
